The checkout from the hotel transfer to the airport to fly to Trabzon will be early in the morning. When we arrive in Trabzon, the team will drive straight to Ayder to see the Kackar Mountains. The tourism hub of the Kackars, this formerly bucolic plateau has become a highly popular tour stop in the last few decades. Ayder has a gorgeous setting at around 1300 m altitude in a verdant, waterfall-ribboned valley and the broadest range of accommodations in the Kackars. The village straggles more than 2 km from west to east up the valley, and the Kackar Mountains National Park is nearby. On this trip, you will see the Eskitoglu Waterfall, Rize Castle, and Rize City Center. Then proceed to Trabzon for the night.

After breakfast, we drive to Uzungol. Every corner of the Black Sea region offers visitors different and delightful views, including Uzungol. The Hapsiyas Bridge (also called Tiled Bridge) and Tea Factory are on the way, and you will have a chance to see the techniques of tea production step by step. The next destination is Uzungol. The lake is surrounded by woods, and when you see the lake’s view, you’ll notice that is why it is the subject of postcards. Here we will have free time at a restaurant that is located near the lake and take amazing photos.

Then drive to Sumela Monastery, which is located in the Altindere Valley at 1150 m altitude in the Macka district of Trabzon. The monastery is built on the surface of the mountain, and the locals called it Mother Mary Monastery. The monastery, which is 300 meters above ground, is magnificent. The tour will return to Trabzon in the evening. Overnight in Trabzon.
